Safety And Guidelines Policy

General Safety:

  • Be aware: Stay alert to your surroundings, potential hazards, and warning signs.
  • Report problems: See something unsafe? Immediately notify your supervisor.
  • Use PPE: Wear required personal protective equipment like gloves, glasses, or ear protection.
  • Stay authorized: Only operate machinery or equipment you’re trained and authorized to use.
  • Keep it clean: Maintain a tidy work area to prevent tripping and other hazards.
  • Follow protocols: Always follow safety procedures and emergency plans outlined in training.

Fire Safety:

  • Know the exits: Locate and remember fire exits and extinguishers in your workspace.
  • Keep them clear: Never block fire exits or extinguishers.
  • Be prepared: Learn how to use a fire extinguisher and practice regularly.
  • Evacuate quickly: In case of fire, leave the building immediately using designated exits.
  • Report fires: Inform your supervisor or security about any fires or suspicious activity.

Electrical Safety:

  • Stay dry: Never touch electrical equipment with wet hands or while standing in water.
  • Report damage: See damaged electrical cords or equipment? Report it to your supervisor right away.
  • Avoid overload: Don’t overload electrical outlets, it’s a fire hazard!
  • Use correctly: Only use electrical equipment for its intended purpose.
  • Power down: Turn off and unplug equipment when not in use.

Chemical Safety:

  • Know the risks: Understand the safety hazards of any chemicals you work with. Read and follow all safety data sheets (SDS).
  • Protect yourself: Wear appropriate PPE like gloves, goggles, and respirators when handling chemicals.
  • Ventilate well: Always use chemicals in a well-ventilated area.
